Last night we were in Dayton, snowing again, icy streets. Canal St is an old venue, been there since early 80s, run by a man named Mick, very kind and mellow. It was interesting because there was a drunk nut at the show who started making a lot of racket at one point and I said something like, Why don’t we give this guy about 6 more drinks so he’ll pass out and shut up, or else maybe we oughta just use the Jersey Devil ball bat on him and just get it over with. I saw Mick go over to the guy and then he was gone. Found out later that he kicked him out and banned him from the club. Anyway, the gig was fine, I hope we can go back there someday, see if we can build up an audience..

So today we’re driving back to Nashville, not much further now, Kieran driving.....

Feb. 12

Packing all my gear for a long drive tomorrow. I have more gear now, because David Abeyta from Reckless Kelly came over here the other day and gave me lessons in Final Cut Pro, the video editing software. Willy and Dustin sat in the next room and wrote a cool song.

I'm moving slowly toward being able to make little movies for the website. Very slowly. It’s as if I’m getting nowhere in fact.

We're also getting close to releasing the new Dead Reckoning site. It's gonna be simple and cool, and run by Colette Pipkin, who has a site called Somekindofparadise, always up to date.

Anyway, tomorrow I drive across Tennessee and Arkansas, to Marshall TX in the east, staying at a house on a lake for a couple nights, playing Saturday night. I'll let you know what it's like over there. Couple of days off in Austin.....I'll add more stuff once I find a place to log on....
